                                                                      ★★

I was excited for this book. Sofia Mione (h) feels stuck in her older sister Serafina Falcone shadow.

I will say she was very young so I understand those feelings of jealousy. But at times it felt like an obsession towards her sister.

Danilo Mancini (h) who was supposed to marry Serafina is now left with her younger sister Sofia.

His pride is hurt he was promised the great ice princess but she was taken from him.

It feels as if he is still stuck up on Serafina. He has no interest in Sofia as he should she is twelve.

I had problems with some of their interaction when she was underage.

This book would have been better if it started when they were married and had some flashbacks.

It was hard connecting with a twelve year old Sofia. For example she expected Danilo to be head over heels when she was a child.

This book was full of moments where Sofia was very insecure. It was tiring and Danilo had no flavor.

I did enjoy the interactions between Danilo and his younger sister Emma. He was a very caring and  protective brother.

Sofia and Anna's friendship was adorable they were there for each other and told each other everything.

Although this wasn't my favorite book Cora Reilly is an amazing writer and I will be reading her future books.

                                                           FAVORITE QUOTES

"Where I was prideful, Sofia was humble. Where I was vengeful, she was                                                    forgiving. Where I was short-tempered, she was patient."

"For the first time, I felt truly seen by Danilo, as if he saw beyond what I wasn't and  really noticed me for who I was."
